The story
Sabah had walked through the aisles again with her tablet half an hour after midnight. The air smelled of ozone and metal. She sat between the racks, slid the gray cotton fabric over her belly button, and left the zipper of her jeans slightly open. The red light of her NAS reflected on her skin. She looked into the lens and exhaled calmly once.
The setting
Server room in the basement of a computer science institute, only emergency lighting and the glow of rack LEDs. It is cool, no windows, only the quiet draft of the air conditioning. On the floor are scattered patch cables, whose colors appear almost black in the light.

By day she sits in the bright lab; at night she holds the key to the in‑house server room. The room is always bathed in dim twilight and low tones. That evening, after checking the ventilation, she sat on the floor and began to slide her hoodie under her chest. The red LED glow and her open jeans were her way of placing something private against the cool machinery.
