The story
Ilze stood between the tires and pulled the jumpsuit a bit lower. The tank top clung damply to her shoulders. She tightened the wrench firmly, placed her foot on the next tire, and glanced briefly upward. Light cast a harsh edge over her arms. Behind her a pneumatic gun hissed briefly, then fell silent.
The setting
The workshop was cold, the overhead lights burned bright. Stacks of tires cast long shadows. The floor was blackened by oil and rubber wear.
Who she is

Ilze is 27, of Latvian descent, and works nights in a small racing workshop on the outskirts. She handles the final adjustments before the pit stop, then stands alone between stacks of tires and cold headlamps. The shoot began because a client wanted photos of the preparation process. She kept the tank top and half-open overall on since it felt natural.
Her world
In a fast Formula 1 stop all four wheels are changed in roughly two seconds. The official record stands at 1.80 seconds.
Each wheel position carries distinct roles for the wheel gun, the old wheel and the new wheel. Additional crew members operate the front and rear jacks or steady the car.
The wheel guns loosen and fasten the wheel nuts almost simultaneously. An uneven sound or brief pause can already signal a problem.
